We waited for the sink to arrive before cutting, like the listing says - glad we did. CSA certified mattered to us - our inspector signed off no problem. 10 inches deep, so the stock pot fits without a fight and water stays in the sink. Handmade build shows: straight lines and clean seams. The one catch: size is good; just a bit tighter in the bowl than our old one.

Stainless steel does not rust in normal use.
